Pediatric Dentistry is the specialty that focuses on the unique dental and oral health needs of infants, children, and teenagers. Specialty training for a pediatric dentist includes an additional two years of rigorous training after dental school. Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of the dental world.
Our pediatric dentistry services include:
Pediatric emergency care
Children with disabilities
Oral sedation and hospital dentistry
Following guidelines set forth by The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), our office recommends all children see a pediatric dentist by their first birthday.
To help your child prepare for a successful first visit, it is important for parents to be positive about the dental visit. Don't use negative words such as "hurt", "pain", "drill", and "shot." If you have had unpleasant dental experiences in the past, please refrain from telling these stories to your children. Most of the time the best thing for parents to tell children before going to the dentist is NOTHING!
Our goal is to make each and every visit to our office enjoyable!
